Here is yet another in a very long line of articles on ranking the rankings. As it comes from the NY Times, it is not forthcoming in demonstrating that the US News methodology was quickly dismissed with verve and statistics by Gladwell in The New Yorker. The Order of Things.

Some of the comments indicate that people believe that families have the knowledge and understanding to interpret the significance (if any) of rankings In many cases, I could not disagree more. I have written about this in previous entries, and will do again soon.
But at the request of a few fans, it is time to get the secret weapon out again.
